How UCOATE Technology Works
UCOATE products use a dual-action mechanism — physical adsorption combined with chemical decomposition — to permanently eliminate harmful indoor pollutants at the molecular level.
The proprietary formulations combine chitosan complex (a naturally derived biopolymer) with modified zinc oxide catalysts. Chitosan physically captures pollutant molecules on contact, while the zinc oxide catalytic system chemically breaks them down into harmless byproducts.
Unlike air purifiers that only filter passing air, or air fresheners that mask odours, UCOATE coatings are applied directly to emission sources — walls, furniture, cabinetry — to intercept and destroy pollutants where they originate. The treatment is water-based, VOC-free, and non-toxic.
